Job Title: Sales Account Manager (North/North East of England)

 

Responsible to: Head of Sales

                                                                                                              

Location: UK - Remote (min 60% customer facing, but the successful applicant will be based in the UK)


Territory: North/North East England


 

Job Summary


Responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, as well as maintaining relationships with existing clients to meet sales targets. This role involves presenting products, negotiating pricing etc, and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication and follow-up.


Responsibilities

·       Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.

·       Account Growth: Identify opportunities to grow accounts by upselling and cross-selling products or services.

·       Sales Targets: Meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs as outlined by management.

·       Client Communication: Act as the main point of contact for assigned clients, addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and ensuring seamless communication.

·       Proposal Development: Prepare and present tailored sales proposals to meet client needs and close deals effectively.

·       Market Research: Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to anticipate customer needs.

·       Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (e.g., marketing, product development, customer support) to deliver tailored solutions for clients.

·       Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts, pricing, and agreements to secure profitable deals while maintaining positive client relationships.

·       Reporting: Maintain detailed records of client interactions, sales progress, and account status in CRM systems; provide regular reports to management.

·       Client Retention: Develop strategies to reduce client churn and ensure long-term account retention through regular engagement and value delivery.


Required Skills


·       Communication Skills - Ability to clearly and persuasively communicate with customers and internal staff, both verbally and in writing.

·       Product Knowledge - In-depth understanding of the products or services being sold to answer customer questions and offer suitable solutions.

·       Adaptability – Able to adjust to different customer preferences, market changes, and sales environments.

·       Time Management - Efficiently managing time to prioritize tasks, follow-ups, and leads.

·       Negotiation - Skilled in negotiating terms and closing deals effectively while maintaining customer satisfaction.

·       Customer Service - Providing excellent service, addressing client needs, and building long-term relationships.

·       IT competence – effectively manage daily administration tasks and sales data

 


Qualifications & Experience Required


·       At least 1-2 years of experience in sales, customer service, or a related field is preferred.

·       A high school diploma or equivalent is typically required.

·       Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets, with a strong understanding of sales techniques and customer relationship management.
